= Cognitae =
Cognitae is a grouping of all species able to develop affixes. While most are classified as Animalia, some Macroglophus can classify as Cognitae.

== Platonids ==
Platonids are the dominant species and seem to originate from the same ancestor. They are bipedal, with mostly hairless skin, and naturally red & warm blooded. They don't naturally have appendages such as tails, claws, horns or wings, but can have a wide variety of skin, eye and hair color.
Platonids include, but are not limited to: humans, elves, duegars, shortlings, and orcs.

== Delphids ==
Delphids share a lot of similarities with Platonids; bipedal with hairless skin; but possess additional traits that distinguishes them from Platonids. They may sometimes be indistinguishably from Wonders on the surface, but their physiology vastly differs.
Delphids include, but are not limited to: fey, fiends, celestials, and the undead.

== Diogenids ==
While no two Diogenids are the same, they can generally be grouped in one of the following categories.

=== Kemomi ===
Mostly humanoid, only displays few animal traits; usually ears, tail, eyes, wings, teeth and/or horns/antlers

=== Hybrid ===
Displays animal traits over 40% of the body (excluding the head). The distinction between the animalistic part and humanoid parts is clear.

=== Prosopanthro ===
Mostly humanoid in shape, body is usually covered in fur. Some features are slightly altered, but still distinctly humanoid.

=== Cruranthro ===
Head shape is no longer humanoid. Body is more animalistic, but still plantigrade. Usually doesn't have humanoid hair

=== Anthrodone ===
Mostly animalistic, digitigrade but still able to stand: there is a clear distinction between arms/hands and legs/feet. Hands usually have opposable thumbs or at least high manipulation capacities

==== Teddy ====
Usually has the capacity to both stand and be polypedal. Little to no distinctions between hands and legs.

==== Zooform ====
Looks like a non-[[Cognitae]] animal.
